January 7, 2021: 3rd ASEAN Medical Education Conference (AMEC 2021)

The 3rd AMEC was organized in the form of webinar, hosted by Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University and the Consortium of Thai Medical Schools. The title of the webinar was “Enhancing student engagement in undergraduate medical education during the COVID-19 pandemic”. The webinar consisted of plenary lecture and symposium. The plenary lecture was given by Prof. Laura Stroud, Deputy Dean, and Laura Smith, Head of Clinical Skills Education, School of Medicine, University of Leeds. The speakers in the symposium were Prof. Er Hui Meng, IMU, Malaysia, Assoc. Prof. Erle Lim Chuen Hian, NUS, Singapore, Mr. Azis Muhammad Putera, Medical student, Universitas Indonesia and Ms. Nattacha Srithawatpong, Medical student, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. The last session was live Q&A. The moderator of the webinar was Dr. Thanapob Bumphenkiatikul from Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University. The webinar received attention from participants from ASEAN and other countries; (Thailand (57), Indonesia (28), Malaysia (20), India (4), Myanmar (2), Bhutan (3), Pakistan (1), Singapore (2), United Kingdom (2), and United States (2).
